Backed by $8.5 million in national and local investments, More For Memphis aims to increase resources and improve the long-term quality of life for residents in Memphis and Shelby County. More than 300 community partners are working together to identify solutions to historic inequities that have plagued Black and Brown communities for generations in Memphis and give those affected a voice in creating them.

Communities In Schools of Memphis serves as the lead of the Education & Youth Anchor Collaborative, one of six community-led workgroups developing strategies for change and improvement in specific focus areas. Our group is working to address all elements of a child’s academic, social, and emotional development, including prenatal, early childhood, K-12 education, and postsecondary education. This will involve two-generation strategies and other systems-level approaches. Our partners include: Memphis Athletic Ministries, MICAH, M-SCS, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Su Casa Family Ministries, and TN SCORE.
